Privacy Policy for Mobile Games

Publisher: Glarium Effective Date: August 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to all mobile applications and video games published by Glarium ("we", "us", "our", or "Glarium") on the Google Play Store, including Classic Snake and all current and future gaming titles (collectively, the "Games").

At Glarium, we are committed to respecting your privacy, protecting user security, and operating transparently. This document explains our privacy practices, the minimal technical data processed by third-party services, and your legal rights under global data protection laws.

1. Target Audience & Child Safety (COPPA & Google Play Families Policy)

Our Games—including Classic Snake—are designed for general audiences of all ages, including children and families. We strictly adhere to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Google Play Families Policy, and international child online safety standards.

  • No Collection of Personal Information from Minors: We do not knowingly solicit, collect, process, or store personal identification data (such as real name, physical address, email address, telephone number, contacts, or precise GPS location) from any user, including children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in the European Union).
  • Safe Environment: Our Games are engineered to provide a safe, secure, and child-friendly environment without social feature risks or unverified external communications.

2. Absolute Guarantee: We Do Not Sell Your Data

Glarium explicitly pledges that we do NOT sell, rent, trade, lease, monetize, or transfer your personal information or device identifiers to any third party under any circumstances.

Any data processed in connection with our Games is strictly limited to essential operational needs, such as ad rendering, frequency capping, ad fraud prevention, and local game state preservation.

3. Data Handling & Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)

A. Local Device Storage

Our Games may store non-personal data directly on your device using local storage or internal memory (e.g., high scores, sound/vibration preferences, unlocked levels, and custom settings). This data remains exclusively on your physical device and is never transmitted to Glarium servers.

B. Technical Data Processed by Third-Party SDKs

To offer free-to-play Games, we integrate industry-standard third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs), primarily Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) and Google Play Games Services.

These certified third-party providers may automatically process non-personally identifiable technical information, including:

  • Device Identifiers: Anonymized Advertising ID (e.g., Google Advertising ID - AAID), coarse location inferred from truncated IP address, device model, operating system version, screen resolution, and language settings.
  • Performance & Diagnostic Metrics: Anonymous crash reports, app stability logs, and non-sensitive gameplay metrics used solely for bug fixes and performance optimization.

Child-Directed Ad Treatment (TFCD & COPPA Compliance)

When our Games are designated for mixed or child audiences, we instruct Google AdMob to treat all ad requests as child-directed (triggering tagForChildDirectedTreatment / TFCD). This ensures Google AdMob serves strictly non-personalized, contextual advertisements that do not track user behavior or build user profiles across apps and websites.

For further details on how Google processes data, please consult: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

4. Compliance with EU Geo-blocking Regulation (EU) 2018/302

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2018/302 of the European Parliament and of the Council on addressing unjustified geo-blocking and other forms of discrimination:

  • Glarium ensures that all players residing or established within any European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA) Member State enjoy equal, non-discriminatory access to our Games, features, support, and privacy protections.
  • We do not apply unjustified geo-blocking, geographic restrictions, or discriminatory terms based on nationality, place of residence, or place of establishment within the EU/EEA.

5. European Union (GDPR) & United Kingdom Data Subject Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, your data protection rights are protected under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR:

  • Legal Basis for Processing: We process non-identifying technical data based on legitimate business interests (ensuring game functionality, maintaining security, preventing fraud, and delivering non-intrusive ads). Where explicit consent is required, consent is requested via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP).
  • Data Subject Rights: You have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of any personal data processed; the right to restrict or object to processing; and the right to data portability.
  • Right to Lodge a Complaint: You have the right to submit a complaint to a competent Data Protection Authority (DPA) in your EU/EEA Member State or the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

6. United States Regional Privacy Notice (CCPA / CPRA & State Laws)

For residents of California (under CCPA/CPRA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), and other US states:

  • Right to Know and Request Access: You may request disclosures regarding any categories of personal information collected or processed.
  • Right to Delete: You have the right to request the deletion of personal information held by us or our partners.
  • Do Not Sell or Share Guarantee: Glarium does not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Non-Discrimination: We will never discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

7. Brazil Privacy Rights (LGPD)

For players residing in Brazil, all data processing activities comply with the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD - Law No. 13.709/2018). Users retain full rights to confirm processing, access data, and request anonymization, blocking, or elimination of unnecessary or non-compliant data.

8. Worldwide Distribution & Security Safeguards

Glarium games are distributed globally through the Google Play Store. We employ appropriate administrative, technical, and organizational measures to safeguard data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. Technical data processed by global partner SDKs (such as Google) may be securely processed on servers distributed worldwide.

9. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect enhancements in our Games, changes in legal obligations, or updates to third-party SDK guidelines. Any revisions will be published directly on this page with an updated "Effective Date".
